I hate to say this but it just seems we are stuck with the 2nd boss of Mt. Hyjal Anetheron. We can blast through the 1st boss with no problem but the closest we have been with the 2nd boss was a 1% wipe on our 1st ever try. We haven't come close in any of our succeeding tries. People are either getting killed by infernal drops or the infernal tank is biting the dust.
It has been frustrating. We haven't really seen alot of progression in the past couple of weeks. BUT I know as a guild we can pull through. We have to continue to work together and since we have alot of new members, continue to gear them up and get them more experience.

If you infernal tank is going down, you may want to try and make sure 1, that you have a druid rolling hots and either a priest or a holy pally doing big heals on them using FSR goodness, that is how my guild got by on the infernal tank.
If your 2 healers (assuming bosskillers strat as it is my fav) just can't handle that, may want to try putting another (a 3rd healer) preist / pally on there in order to get offsetting big heals on. Have those 2 coordinate their FSRs so that as a big heal lands, another is being primed up, the whole time the druid has a stack of blooms, and a rejuv with regrowths going in the middle of the refreshes on those so that you have 3 hots ticking away 100% of the time on that tank.

Is your Infernal tank in FR gear?
He is in FR gear. Mitigating 70% of the fire attacks. It is doing around 900-1k damage. Physical damage around 2272.
How much fire resist do you wear honor? I am assuming you are the infernal tank?
Brigin,
The Infernal tank should have ~250 FR and needs to make sure they're still Defense cap'd. After that the other stats are all gravy. 1 healer, possibly 2 MAXIMUM should be healing the Infernal tank. Ranged DPS / Melee need to make room for the Infernal tank to move to the back of the raid where Jaina is and then commence DPS.
MT Healers need to be spread out 120degrees from eachother to ensure that only one of them is Swarmed at a time.
This fight is entirely about positioning and nothing more. Pick up the infernals, DPS them quickly, back to the boss. Rinse, repeat. At ~40% (or depending on how much FR your Infernal tank has) just have the DPS focus on the boss and the Infernal tank just tank the adds. Hunter MD's here are GOLDEN!!!!

I'm usually main tank on that fight but on occasion I've infernal tanked. I'm at 200FR unbuffed (the 4 badge FR pieces only).
That should be more than enough, really, so long as your healers are appropriately spread out so that two of them can cover you and not get Swarm at the same time.
The other factor is your DPS being mindful of who's about to get hit by the infernal, and moving out of the way accordingly.
Make sure that your healers in precise positions, away from eachother. It might be that your healers are standing to close to eachother, getting the carrion wave healing debuff and not able to keep people up. Also, you should get people to move to the fire tank as soon as they get targeted by the infernal cast.
Our guild is in the exact same boat I am afraid. It's frustrating, because you know in your mind that it shouldn't be difficult... but it still is. Persistence I guess! Revision of the strat never goes astray either
1. Put 1 or 2 healers for the infernal tank, out of reach from Anetheron
2. People need to learn to run, if the infernal will land on them.
and personal:
I am Infernaltank, I use my Avoidance-Stam-gear for them, and no fire-res. Well, only the Fire-res aura...
i do it without any FR gear. sitting at 21k hp (raid buffed in kara/badge gear) in my regular tanking gear.
i do the same thing on the adds for hydross... resist sets aren't as important as people try and make them.
