Patch 2.2 came out and so did some new enchants. I get all my enchants from Doomilias who is a 375 enchanter with some pretty neat enchants.
I decided to switch some enchants around and try some of the new ones:
I replaced my +120 armor with this enchant because I am looking to resocket my gems and go with high stamina in time for Gruuls. I figure 120 armor can be made up from the gear that I currently have. I just need to find someone in guild who can cut Solid Star of Elunes. They are selling for about 50g each ...
This one is interesting. I took my +15 str out and replace it with +2% threat. I know I can get the +15 agility which might be better but I dont know anyone who can do it yet.I tried this one last night in Kara and it is really hard to tell. I could have swear it was making a difference but with nothing to back it up with. Is there a mod out there that keeps track of threat? Anyone liking this enchant?
On the side note, me and Doom are on our 2nd week of leading a Kara group. We are leading the less experienced group and killing all bosses which means Attunmen to Curator on 1 night. It has been smoother as I am getting more and more comfortable marking and pullings. We started at around 8:15 and finished at around 11:30. I am hoping we can trim the time down to 10:30-10:45 next week as more and more people get more experienced and more gear.

KTM or Omen are popular mods for monitoring threat. I am not too familiar with Omen but I use KTM to show me my position on threat in relation to the rest of the raid and also my threat per second.
There are a couple different schools of thought on the 2% threat enchant. Percentages scale amazingly with better gear. I prefer dynamic stats such as agility and block value. I use 15 Agility on my gloves because that provides me with about .50% crit, .45% dodge, and 30 armor.
It could also depend on your threat per second. 2% threat on 1000tps is a lot better than 2% on 500tps.
I notice BRK uses WWS on most of your raids. Take a look at the DPS people are putting out. If you are maintaining more threat per second than they are doing DPS don't worry about the 2% threat. Keep in mind too that most dmg classes have threat modifier talents and may have blessing of salvation.
It would take a week to check, but if your compare your TPS with 15 Str on one boss vs ur TPS on the same boxx next week with +2% threat, you might get some idea.
Or you could wipe deliberately, on say 1% :O
There isn't really any comparison of 15 strength to 2% threat for TPS purposes.
15 Strength doesn't even give you 1 block value. It gives you 30AP which will add threat/dmg to auto attacks, heroic strikes, etc. but not modify any static threat.
2% threat adds threat to your dmg, to the static dmg associated with each attack, and to specials that don't cause dmg (sunder, demo shout).
15 Strength is an enchant you get as a placeholder or to help someone get an enchanting point.
For tanking and threat generation it's either 15 agility or 2% threat.
I am not really trying to compare the str enchant against the +2% threat but rather wanting to measure the effectiveness of the +2% threat enchant generally.
