Check this screenshot of the kill. Look closely at the combat log and you will see that I was able to execute for 2277! I was in BattleStance and took a mighty rage potion and got to full 100 rage before executing!
Edit: We did try and failed 2 times on Prince. We got him down to around 50% on both tries but the we got very very unlucky with the Infernals!

Grats on the kill! Been catching up with your blog, lots of good posts over the last few weeks. I was on vaca and had family issues, so no WoW for almost 3 weeks! I was in agony, lol.
Grats on your new gear! FYI I put a Mongoose on my new Sun Eater and yeah it was expensive, but well worth it! I finally got to test it out this weekend and I love it. The sword, the enchant, everything. Mongoose Procs at least once a fight, trash, boss whatever.
I'm hopefully going to be heading into kara regularly soon as I do need some upgrades gearwise. Anyway, glad to see you are keeping up the blog, great job!
That's awesome Brig! Went into Kara for my first time last night...we failed Moroes for 3 hours. ;-p I think our problem is a lack of DPS but not quite sure. Do you have any idea how long that fight usually lasts you guys from pulling Moroes to his death?
Moroes usually take 5-6 minutes. How many mobs was CC? This fight depends heavily on CC and DPS. Your dps needs to kill the un-CCed add as quickly as possible.
i am just estimating. I have a feeling the whole thing is under 10 minutes
Uggggh, Moroes sucks especially if you lack CC, and even then, people need to be able to switch between CC and DPS without accidents.

BTW, what gear did you decide to go for DPS? I put on my DPS gear (mostly quest rewards) but staying on 10k health buffed so I can survive the Pyro. I also didnt lose the shield since I prefer Shield Bash to Punish
honestly i stayed with my tanking gear. psshhh .... don't tell anyone. lol
I was on interrupt duty. I felt that my job was to interrupt, stay alive, tank the elementals when they come up and occasionally dished out some dps. I was mostly in battle stance the whole fight and used Retaliation on charge.
I also sundered him and use devastate and thunderclap. I felt that even if no tank is needed, sundering Aran would at least lower his armor and get our rogue or melee dps to do more damage on him.
I am way more comfortable using shield bash than any other interrupts. I felt they are more reliable.
Another one of those who doesn't merge pets with the owner?

Whats that item on the side that you have 900+ of? Looks like a blue crystal I guess.
It is crystals from the Ogrila faction quest grinds.
